Verena Schmidt

Over 18 years of travel experience in more than 40 countries, hiking guides published by Bergverlag Rother, an adventure report for National Geographic (2024), lectures to over 3000 people from more than 12 countries, research and teaching at the University of Tübingen - Verena Schmidt, as she lives and breathes. She has spoken to rebel leaders, led travel groups through various continents and sometimes through militarily contested areas in western China and Laos, criss-crossed the Canadian Rockies for months with her 13-year-old daughter, learned tattooing in the Philippines and motorized flying in Alaska.
